New piece, familiar inspiration

As you have probably noticed, I've recently ventured away from familiar inspiration and style to explore painting in a different way. I'm proud of myself for stepping outside of the comfortable place that I created for myself. I've learned new things and experiemented with new mediums (always good). I do however, miss those old paintings and the feelings I feel when I paint them. I started this drawing today based on photographs that I took over a year ago (that I love). With this piece I am going to try to incorporate old and new ideas and see what happens. I've missed these shapes and forms.....I felt so happy painting them today...like reconnecting with old friends.
P.S. Sold Recycled Green at C-Note. Yippee!

New Pieces

This pair is currently on display at Haiku. They are titled Bare Bones, 1 & Bare Bones, 2.

I'm still working on this one.....lots of cool things happening with some of the layers of color. My brain has identified the forms in this painting as some ambiguous something and it's driving me crazy! I don't want to see what my brain sees in this painting. Oh well......
